Laura Pifer is a DIY gal since she was a girl. She learned to sew in middle school and immediately started making her own designs.
She started Trash to Couture to share her sewing projects with a glimpse of the before and after process. She also includes one-of-a-kind DIY sewing tutorials. She hopes to inspire and share ideas to provide a less wasteful approach to the mass-produced fashion mainstream.
Most of her items are either donated from her family or thrifted finds. The finished items are either donated, recycled again, sold, or saved for special occasions.
